Michael Rosenthal celebrates daily by painting, making art, and traveling with his wife Martha and their two Jack Russell Terriers, Lewis and Stella. Rosenthal's self-portraits and landscapes are idiosyncratic and quirky at times, but they also seem to be typical by-products of American superabundance and marketing. By rejecting objective truth and global cultural narratives, he investigates and challenges the imagination by examining ambiguity and origination via retakes and variations.
